Start your day with a walk and some posing before breakfast. Now’s the best time to stay on a workout routine 🙂

After my leg workout (yes I trained on Thanksgiving Day :), I enjoyed a turkey dinner with some of my loved ones and then went to see Cirque du soleil’s Kooza show at the Santa Monica Pier. This was my first time seeing a Cirque show and WOW, what a fantastic way to spend a couple of hours. Filled with fantastical characters that included funny clowns, acrobats, jugglers, trapeze artists, contortionist, and dare devils of all shapes and sizes, the show also included two incredible female singers and a magical band. I laughed and had my breath taken away with some of the death-defying acts I witnessed. Packed with incredible performances from an awesome cast it’s hard to pick favorites, but my list toppers included the mesmerizing performances by the master of ceremonies performed by Mike Tyus, a trio of gold-wrapped contortionist and the wheel of death’s dynamic duo. Heart warming, heart pounding and heart-stopping is the best way to describe Kooza. Go see it if you can. Happy Thanksgiving! xoxo Denise

Since my return home last week I’ve been a very busy girl. I’m back in the gym plowing through my workouts (something I didn’t do for almost two weeks) and I’m back in the office plowing through my paper work. I’m not caught up yet but I’m working on it. Did I mention that I’m a New York Yankees fan and one of the only people in LA clapping for NY in a gym full of bodybuilders who want to see the Angels win? It’s probably a good thing I have big guns and lots of great friends who love me even if I don’t root for what they call the right team. Go Yankees, go! xoxo Denise
Well he did it! My sparring buddy Rick Collins made me proud with his www.LeapforLife.org sky dive to raise money for The American Cancer Society. Raising money to help fight cancer is a Big Deal, jumping out of an airplane to show how committed you are to the cause is something entirely different. The news is great, Rick survived the jump, he achieved his fund raising goal and the money is still pouring in, so if you haven’t donated and have a buck to spare, please visit the site and make a pledge. Loving life! xoxo Denise
I got great news last night when I found out that Angie Salvagno won her class and the over-all woman’s bodybuilding competition at the USA’s. With this win she earned a spot on the professional stage as the newest IFBB women’s pro. Woo Hoo Angie, way to go! The stage was lined with lots of awesome competition and true to his predictions, my friend and business partner Robert said that Angie would win the show after shooting her a couple of weeks ago. “The photo shoot we did with her was amazing, Angie looked great three weeks ago” said Robert. His prediction was that she would be unstoppable, and he was right. A gorgeous woman, with beautiful muscle… you gotta love it! Need less to say, we are very happy for her. Congrats Angie! Big Hugs, Denise and the Muscle Elegance Gang!
