Social distancing and working out at home each day in hopes of staying healthy and not putting any unnecessary added pressure on the surrounding community and resources. With a small home gym set up I have been sharing my home equipment and live streaming my workouts on my YouTube channel. Anybody who wants a little conversation and maybe some added motivation to keep moving during this strange and isolating time can check out my YouTube channel. It’s all about reps and sets and lifting each other up. #staypumped #love you guys and dolls! Denise #missfit4life #fitover50
Wishing you great luck and great health on this St Patty’s Day and beyond. Who’s gonna wear green today?
Cleaning and dusting off home gym equipment so that if I need to stay home I can still get my workouts in. They say “Necessity is the mother of invention” and I know that working out is great for my body and my mental health. In fact I find I’m more creative in my thinking after a workout, so I’m ready to modify my training if necessary, and I will share what I’m doing with you on my YouTube channel. The truth is we lift weights and we lift each other too. Wishing you and yours good health. xo Denise
The Coronavirus (COVID 19) and public health reports recommending social distancing to help control possible exposure, coupled with possible gym closure inspired me to go into my garage and set up my home gym. I was scheduled to do my shoulder workout but instead I wanted to access my workout equipment and think about what kinds of exercises I could do at home. EVERYTHING needed to be cleaned and dusted off (smile). So it turns out that I have two benches, one is a flat bench and one is a bench I can use in a variety of positions for incline movements. I have 4 sets of dumbbells in various poundage’s and a small set of kettle bells. I also have an Olympic bar with weights for barbell work and I have a medicine ball, bands and some ankle weights to help meet most of my strength training needs. I’m happy that I have all of this equipment but if you don’t have all of this stuff you can still find great ways to strength train at home and that’s what I’m really starting to think about now and look forward to sharing with you. During this live broadcast it was fun to talk to you about training and to answer some of your questions related to food and things like protein powder and as promised I am including links to the protein power I am using along with the equipment I have at home. Thank you all for joining me on my live broadcasts. Please remember to subscribe to my channel and ring the bell for notifications so that you know when I go live. xo Denise

The first time I competed at the Arnold Sports Festival’s Ms International women’s bodybuilding competition was in 1997 and the last time I competed was also at the Arnold Ms. International in 2007. I was a bodybuilder then and I am a bodybuilder now. And with the exception of this year’s 2020 cancellation of the expo, I have been going to the Arnold Sports Festival without miss each year and have had a booth at the expo since 1998. I love the city and the event for so many reasons, but most of all it’s the people that have brought me back year after year. This is a video filled with snapshots and prejudging video at the Arnold Expo hall and my last evening show performance during my time competing at the Ms. International in the women’s bodybuilding category. I loved competition and the Arnold Sports Festival experiences I’ve had and most of all I love the performing art that bodybuilding is. I hope you enjoy this video. Special thanks to Gregg Simpson for shooting and editing this footage and video for me. Super thanks to Robert Masino for his exceptional support and great photography. Super Duper Special thanks to all of the wonderful fans of our great sport who have supported and encouraged me for all these years. Lets #staypumped together. #ASF2020
When things don’t go according to plan, you make a new plan. Thank you for joining me in my member cam show last night and for being so flexible with the last minute show schedule changes. Needless-to-say I am very disappointed about the change of plans we have been forced to make and I am still scrambling to figure a lot things out. But we will figure it all out and THANK YOU!
