…can we promise ourselves that we will work and push to find a way to provide a reasonable amount of health care and medical insurance to every American man, woman and child? Health care and insurance reform can be done. I hope we have the courage to make the necessary changes senator Edward Kennedy spent his life working towards. Thank you for your service Teddy. Rest in peace.
I started my day at the gym working my red shorts and a hamstring workout. The entire workout was done to my ipod listening to some salsa. I love training to awesome sexy Latin rhythms of my heritage. Hope your Sunday is full of Salsa! xoxo Denise

One of my long time buddies Rick Collins just let me know that he was going to be skydiving for charity this weekend to help raise money for The American Cancer Society. I don’t know one person that hasn’t been touched by cancer either personally or through someone they know and love. Every dollar counts, please do what you can to support Rick’s incredible Leap for Life. The work and research in the fight against cancer affects us all. For more information on Rick’s Leap please visit www.leapforlife.org . xoxo Denise

I went to see the Flaming Lips perform at The Greek Theater tonight and went wild when the stage sets rear projection went from sexy silhouette images of a naked girl dancing to sitting with her legs open. Colored in a rainbow that turned into a bright white light coming from her crotch, we witnessed the band emerge one by one from what turned into a hot white light that was her vagina. The bands lead singer Wayne Coyne followed the bands spectacular entrance by coming up from the floor in a huge plastic bubble and then rolled himself into the audience. Surrounded by fans in a variety of plushy costumes, including but not limited to a gorilla a sunflower and a bumble bee, the Greek was a wash in bright lights, floating balloons and tons on confetti. Filled with lots of great music and great fun, The Flaming Lips closed a great show with my favorite song, “Do you realize”. xoxo Denise

The History Channel had a great program this week called “Sex in the ancient world”, that talked about the discovery of a 3,000 year old papyrus with explicate erotic graphical depictions that one specialist said, could be likened to what we know of today, as a modern adult magazine. This Ancient Egyptian discovery illustrates what may very well be one of the very first pornographic pieces of illustrated work. As experts work to decode the text and art they discuss the possibilities. Is it part of a fertility ritual or ancient erotica? I only caught the tail end of the program but was immediately drawn in by the hard-core imagery, and what struck me most about what most would call pornography, was the simple reality that this papyrus seemed to be suggesting. Through the ages, both ancient and modern man share some very basic common instincts and realities of life. Does this papyrus simply point out that mans fascination with the pleasures of sex is part of human nature? I certainly think so. What do you think? Listed above are some of the reproductions from the erotic papyrus of Turin.
