Stared my day with a 45 minute walk in nature followed by my shoulder workout and some abdominal work too. I hope my workout posts gets you motivated to make your own good moves. xo D

I set up my record player and then I got this AMAZING record from Christian McBride and I’m in heaven listening to his Big Band sound. I want to go back to a time where people dressed up and went to supper clubs for live Jazz and a night of dancing. The sound, the look of vinyl and the artwork of an album will never get old for me. The two record album is so beautifully designed and packaged and I just love having this masterpiece in my collection. Thank you so so much Mr. Christian McBride!

It took me an extra hour to drag mystery into the gym to start my back workout yesterday. (I get lazy sometimes) but here I am, showing up for my back workout and it helps to bring my Wonder Woman weight belt and my Wonder Woman coffee mug too. Thank you Steve Cardillo for always having my back and thank you Dark Horse for my newest WW coffee mug. #staypumped friends. #lovedrop

Of course I pissed off a couple of wasps as I was trying to prepare my place for the tropical storm and possible hurricane coming my way! It’s been days of watching the weather channel and getting things ready for wind, rain and flooding and today I am happy to report that even though I have a very itchy welt on my leg, we are in good shape. We got lot’s of rain yesterday and today and that was actually good because we need the rain following drought conditions. The work is not done around here following Elsa but I am grateful that the storm has passed and I hope the everyone on her path is and stays safe. xo D

Nothing like the threat of a tropical storm or hurricane to get you moving on maintenance items. As I write I am sitting in my office working and waiting for Tropical storm Elsa to pass through Florida. I am hoping that all we have to deal with is a lot of rain and winds that are not to damaging. And of course it would be great if we could keep our power on. For anyone in the path of this storm I hope you all stay safe and I look forward to updating you again later today if I can. Love Denise

I hope you are having a very Happy Healthy and Blessed 4th of July weekend. I spent a good portion of this weekend on tropical storm and hurricane preparedness work and we will see what Mother Nature has in store for our area real soon. I almost adopted a turtle this week. This little snapping turtle hatchling was trying to cross a busy street and I couldn’t let it get squashed, so I picked it up and brought it home. I really wanted to keep it but ended up finding a better place to release it. It turns out that these snapping turtles grow up to be pretty big and have one hell of a bite. Regardless, I hope my little friend is happy and safe in its new spot. #Cardio #Nature Both are good for me.

I am sad to report that I have to cancel and reschedule tonight’s show. I hate having to cancel so late in the day but I am not in control of the situation. Just a quick note to thank all of you for your kind messages and understanding this past week. This was the very first time I’ve traveled since the pandemic began, and it was an unexpected and last minute trip. Being fully vaccinated made me feel better about traveling and though the travel included long days everything went smoothly. Most of all I was very happy that I could visit with people who are very important to me during this difficult time. I am still recovering from all of the last minute travel and I’m looking forward to catching up with you all during tomorrows live member cam show. My fingers are crossed that it all goes smoothly!
