Geek Speak on live cam settings

A quick update to all of my members about the new live cam module settings you will see on your screen during the live cam broadcast tonight.

You will not have to do anything with the settings if you don’t want to, so that makes life super easy!
However, if you do experience severe buffering issues you can make a change to try to resolve the issue. All you have to do is go down to the lower right corner of the screen during the live broadcast. Click the little gear icon and you will see the different player speeds listed as “Auto, 360p and 270p”.
The player is configured to start in Auto mode (please see image below), in which case it will start at the higher option (360p) and if it detects issues – will go down to the lower option (270p), then if it finds out the network connection has improved it may go back up to 360p etc. – all automatically. If a member wants to disable this auto switching, they can manually choose either 360p or 270p and the player will stay at that resolution.

The higher resolution is 360p (640×360). The lower one is 270p (480×270) for anyone with slower connections. So that is it. My awesome programmer created these options and we are still working on adding an even higher quality setting after I have fully tested these settings. Please feel free to ask me any questions about this during our cam tonight or via direct email. Hope to see you later! xo Denise
