W. is for Why?

I got to see a screening of the new Oliver Stone Move W. this weekend and walked out of the movie wondering why the movie was made, and what Oliver Stone’s point behind it was. The best part of the movie was Josh Brolin’s’ performance. He did a really nice job playing the role of W. aka “Jr.”, but that didn’t change the fact that I honestly had a hard time sitting through the movie. By the end of the film I found myself annoyed by the two hour reminder that (according to Stone) “Jr” was/is basically a stubborn, ex-party animal who is/was resentful of his dad for wanting him to grow up. That coupled with the reality that this silverspoon fed, late bloomer was voted into the White House twice, so that he could run this country by the seat of his pants was not my idea of time well spent. I highly recommend you watch one of my videos instead <smile> xoxo Denise

    Hi Denise,

I totally agree with your comments, however throught the newspapers & TV, it was considered as a B movie or a rental. I am also curious about the movie – will wait for the dvd. One movie a truly recommend is Vicky Cristina Barcelona starring Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson. DO NOT JUDGE this movie before watching it even if its a Woody Allen picture. Also Denise, thank you for your e-mail address. BTW, did you get my e-mail as I haven’t got your reply?
