Even though Oscar season is still a half a year away, I’m going to make a not so bold bet that Heath Ledger’s performance in “The Dark Night” will earn him the Oscar he deserves. As violent and dark as this comic book superhero movie was (not for kids under 13), this was also the best movie I’ve seen in a long time. Although all of the actors did a good job with their respective roles, I think the true Dark Knight in this film was also its shining light. Heath Ledger was awe inspiring to watch and an absolute must see.
