I’ve been an athlete my entire life and I have always taken part in ensuring that I do my part to live a healthy, fit life. This is the lifestyle I love promoting and the lifestyle I practice. I realized a long time ago that health is our greatest asset. Today my family will bury my aunt Carmen. Today would have been her 60th birthday. She fought a long hard battle with cancer and I have always felt helpless when I thought of her struggles. Carmen is the reason I started running for St Jude last year. I run for the people I know who are fighting cancer. This is my small way of promoting health and fitness while doing something to help. I know I won’t change the harsh reality of cancer, but at least I’ve found a way to stop feeling completely helpless about it. I am an Active-ist and doing my St Jude Warrior Dash on Oct. 26th is part of my Acitive-ism.
Please sponsor me if you can, $5.00 may not sound like much but it really is. Go to www.active-ism.com.
Love and Health! Denise

I’m officially two weeks away from my St Jude Warrior Dash Mud Run and yesterday following my warmup and a 1/2 mile run I decided to do some sprinting. I felt great until I felt a pop in my hamstring. Today I’m nursing my hamstring injury. Right now it’s muscle soreness and a cold pack. I’m doing what I can to behave myself (which is not easy for me) and I may be walking until I have to run in two weeks. Wish me luck!

This weeks live webcam show is going to take place on Tuesday, October 8th at 10:30 pm Cet / 4:30 pm Et / 1:30 pm Pt. Come prepared to watch and to entertain me.
I’m challenging myself — getting all muddy, climbing walls, crawling under barbed wire, jumping fire — and it’s going to get really messy! Mud is sexy right?! I am under 3 weeks away. On Oct. 26th, 2013 its on for my Warrior Dash Mud Run. I’m raising money for St Jude Children’s Hospital. Can I get a sponsorship donation from you? It doesn’t have to be a lot. Every little bit helps and I’m happy to do the heavy lifting and the heavy breathing. Check out my Miss Fit Page.

Some times it’s good to be BAD! And, I have a couple of really nasty and nice tricks up my sleeves. I couldn’t wait to tell you about my most recent shoot, so here’s a preview picture. I hope you can keep a secret! If you can’t I’ll take you over my knee and spank you!
I added my Olympia 2013 weekend expo photo coverage and the Ms. Olympia Physique and Ms. Olympia women’s bodybuilding competition shots to my members area. At the expo I had lots of fun getting some very important crossfit training tips from one of the greatest female trainers I know. I’m hoping the training tips I got will help me with my Oct. 26th Warrior Dash Mud Run. I also met with tons of amazing athletes and had a blast talking to fans and posing with super humans and superheros. All of the photos are in my member area – you wont want to miss any of the video and pictures!

The Olympia Weekend opened with a packed expo and incredible competitions all around. The women’s prejudging showcased incredible women and intense competition. Tomorrow the men will take the stage. Stay tuned for my Olympia pic report.
I’m heading to Las Vegas for the 2013 Mr. and Ms. Olympia weekend. I’m so excited about seeing all of my friends from the bodybuilding and fitness world I can hardly wait to get there. I will be spending some of my time at the Europa Sports Nutrition booth signing autographs and meeting fans so please come see me if you are going to be there! If you can’t make it don’t worry, I’ll take lots of fun pictures from Sin City and the Olympia Expo for you. Stay tuned. xoxo Denise

I’m doing my member webcam show tomorrow night. Get comfortable, log in and lets have a lot of fun.

I went to see the new “Generation Iron” movie with a group of friends from Gold’s Gym and I really enjoyed learning about each of the top men featured in the documentary. It’s a peek behind the curtain and an inspiring look at what it takes to be the best bodybuilder in the world. I highly recommend this documentary. It brought back fond memories of being on the Olympia and Ms International stage as an athlete and made me want to do it all again. I have a deep respect and admiration for all of those who set such huge goals for themselves. As my father always told me: choose your path and be your best! I am a proud member of Generation Iron and have been since I was 14 years old. Congrats to the Director Vlad Yudin, the team of filmmakers and editors, and all of the athletes, Phil Heath, Kai Greene (we are from the same streets), Branch Warren, Dennis Wolf, Roelly Winklaar, Ben Pakulski and Hidetada Yamagishi. Continued success and good health to you all.
