It was Tragedy at the House of Blues last night for a show that rocked the room and made me, my honey and my friends shake and laugh our asses off. Tragedy is a Heavy Metal Bee Gee’s cover band out of New York. Having a hard time picturing that? I did, and when I saw the 7 member band, plus 1 towel boy, clad in spandex, lots of sequins and glitter, I felt like I was back to the future with Disco music I once loved made better. This awesome head-banging band can best be described as Saturday Night Fever meets Spinal Tap. Check them out if you ever get the chance. xoxo Denise
I got news that a family member came out of surgery OK today and that makes this Good Saturday. I spent most of my Good Friday organizing, doing paperwork, filing and the like. I closed my day with a leg workout followed by a visit to a spa where I got to indulge in a facial that my lover bought me for Valentines Day. It has been so long since I’ve done that sort of thing that I actually forgot how important it is and how much I needed it. The best gifts are the ones related directly to wellness and normally, those are the gifts you dont give yourself. This is a reminder to be good to yourself and others. xoxo Denise
I watched Comedy Central’s Futurama today and was tickled when the episode was about a futuristic matriarch society of amazon women that looked like female bodybuilders who kill their male prey by snu-snuing them to death. Snu-snu is the amazonian word for sex. Talk about a way to go 🙂 Denise
During this evenings cam show I played out my catholic school girl fantasies in my knee high socks and pleated skirt. I had a really busy week of work, and some hardcore training so by 10 pm last night I was ready to pass out. The truth is, I didn’t get to the gym to do my leg work out and aerobic workout until 7:30 last night. Now you know what I was up to on my Friday night 🙂 Whats wrong with this picture!?
