Everything about my holiday season has been belated this year but that’s OK. I’m going to have my Christmas and New Years celebration no matter the date or time. Sitting still is much easier when you are watching great art. Laying low for the last few weeks getting my rest and working on kicking my upper respiratory infection meant that I could do some year end organizing and movie watching. For those of you who like movies, listed below are some of my favorite movies from this year.
1. “Darkest Hour” is a great movie filled with wonderful performances by the entire cast but Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill is incredible and a must see. This is an Oscar worthy performance and it is impossible to watch a film like this one without getting inspired by the spirit of Churchill.

“Downsizing” is full of surprises, but the greatest surprise for me was the grit and the heart delivered by Hong Chau. I love everything about her character and her performance which explains her Golden Globes nomination.

Frances McDormand is always great in everything she does and this movie just gets added to the list of her great performances. Add Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson and you have another great movie ride with an unexpected ending in “Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri”.

“The Shape of Water” reminds me of the Creature from the Black Lagoon, but this movie is more beautiful and once again the entire cast lead by Sally Hawkins is fantastic and so are the special effects for this creature. This is pure movie magic.

“Dunkirk” and “The Post” are two more important movies that I enjoyed watching and if you get to do it, I would watch “Darkest Hour” and then “Dunkirk” as the Darkest hour takes you into the weeks leading up to Dunkirk. And last but not least, I can’t talk about some of my favorite films of the 2017 without mentioning my superhero movies. “Wonder Woman”, “Guardians of the Galaxy 2”, “Thor Ragnarok” and “The Justice League”. I loved all of them and I had a lot of fun watching them.

I finally gave in a went to see a doctor today. Because I felt good on Tuesday I went to the gym in the morning and by Tuesday night I was coughing up a storm and my chest felt like I had a flame-thrower in it. I was obviously going backwards and the first doctors appointment I could get was for this morning. The good news is that I am getting better, and I just need to be patient. As my doctor said today, “Don’t go to the gym this week, lay low for the rest of the week and then you can hit it hard on January 1st.” So I’m taking it easy and wearing my sexy lingerie. Send more panties and I’ll do the modeling! 😛

I’m sad to report that I’m home sick, fighting a nasty cold or the flu, and I have to postpone and reschedule my member Christmas Live Cam Show until after Christmas. I’m hoping I will feel better in a few days and in time to spend the holiday with my family and friends, but that is not up to me at this point. I don’t want to infect anyone else so I am living in my little bubble drinking my tea, eating raw garlic (that should kill this fucker of a cold), drinking soup and drinking lots of fluids. I’m not big on medication so I do what I can with natural foods and rest as much as I can. I wish you a very Merry Christmas and look forward to enjoying a belated XXX-mas Cam show with you all! When life throws a monkey wrench your way, pick it up and use it to fix something you need and make it work for you. No matter what happens you have the power to respond in a way that works for you and helps you keep moving forward. I had a crazy family crisis this week but I’m happy to report that we are still moving forward and I hope you are too.

The recovery  process is well underway following Hurricane Irma. We finally got power back but the work has been intense and ongoing!
The bottom line is we are very lucky we didn’t get hit harder than we did. And after spending weeks on the road, staying with friends and family I realize that the real power in this situation is human power. This time with my family has given me an opportunity to help my parents with some pretty big home projects and I am grateful for that. Thank you for the ongoing love, emails and good wishes. We have to stick together to help Texas, Puerto Rico, Mexico and all of the Islands that have been hit by so many natural disasters in these last few weeks.
