I spent the weekend in Pasadena for two days of incredible music and people. The lineup included lot’s of iconic musical artists that I feel very lucky to have been able to see live for the very first time. I tried to use my “Twitter” feed to Periscope several of the acts and I could only get a few live events to stream. So, instead, I decided to video pieces of some of the performances so that I could share them with you. I hope you enjoy the sampling below.

I couldn’t wait to see “Jack White” live and he was fantastic, but it was the woman dancing in front of me that made my heart blow up with joy and dance.

“Los Lobos” had this Puerto Rican girl dancing, watch the guitars, listen to the rhythms of the Latin American world and move baby move!

Gary Clark Jr. was a must see for me and I wish I could share his entire set with you because he did not disappoint. Watch this man play the guitar, this blues, rock soul artist is one of my all time favorite musicians.

I also got to see Neil Young with the Promise of the Real band and Robert Plant both were awesome, sadly I did not get good video of Neil or Robert but the performances were fantastic.  I hope you enjoy the sample.

When you think you got a problem solved and you took care of your people, but you learn that the problem still persists and so you ARE FORCED TO DRIVE TECH SUPPORT CRAZY. And today’s adventure was my car died and I had to call for roadside assistance. Right now the car is in the shop and I won’t know anything until tomorrow. Lucky for me super nice people at the show dropped me off at home so I didn’t have to walk in this heat or push the car myself. In the meantime I decided I would handle the added stress of the lost day with some exercise intervention. Studies show that 20 minutes of walking and working out helps with anxiety and stress management, so I started a twitter poll to see if I should be doing a 30 minute walk or 15 push-ups while I wait for my car situation to be resolved. The poll will run for another 19 hours and here are the current results.

I finally got to the theater for “Dead Pool 2” and what a fun movie ride it was. I love this movie so much I can’t wait to watch it again. Ryan Reynolds is awesome as DP with his outrageously inappropriate behavior and laughs. This is not a family movie, it’s for us adults and that’s why I love this superhero so much. Josh Brolin is good as Cable and wow is he is great shape, but I love Zazie Beetz as Domino. She is definitely one of my new favorite super-chicks. Go see it and enjoy the ride.

I promised you pictures from my Memorial Day weekend RNR. I am determined to make time for rest and relaxation. I’m not good at taking down time so I might need you to remind me that recreational time is a must. All work and no play is no bueno!
