This weekend was spent in San Diego for the annual Hope Mission 2013.  I worked with 35 other real life superheroes feeding the homeless and distributing personal care items to the needy. This is my 3rd annual Hope mission and each year I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for the people I share this experience with. After the Hope mission I had a lot of fun spending time at Comic Con. Batman, Bane, Robot-humanoids and lots of other characters I’ve never seen before. This morning I surprised my friend and professional bodybuilding icon Albert Beckles at the gym with a small birthday cake. The poor man had to endure my singing and, I’m thinking that what he was wishing for when he blew out the candle was that I would stop singing. At 83 years young, on July 14, Albert is one of the people I enjoy seeing the most each morning, while visiting and training in Los Angeles. The king of the Bicep Peak is one hell of an athlete to this day and someone who inspires people around him more than he even knows or is willing to acknowledge because of his modest ways. It is an honor and a privilege to call him my friend.

It was a long and luxurious weekend that included workouts followed by much needed down time at home in lingerie. The Forth of July was a movie day for me. I went to see “Star Trek into the Darkness” but what I really wanted to see was Despicable Me 2. I love all those little Twinkie looking little Minions. Anyway, I had fun with Star Trek and I also had fun posing in front of the new Wolfverine poster. Hugh Jackman is in awesome shape, and he looks great, and I think I would make a great side kick superhero. Every time I go to the movies, I come out full of ideas. Part of my fun is playing movie critic for at least an hour after the movie. These are the costumes worn by Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer in the new Lone Ranger Movie.
