Yesterday was my first day out of the house and I decided to embrace my moon boot and the season. Boy am I glad my left leg is strong enough to do all the work around here. This last week has made me hyper aware of my leg strength and balance because I can’t put my right foot down. So what is this challenge meant to teach me? I can’t see my short term disability as a problem because I know I can be better because of the test my left leg and upper body are getting. And, I appreciate my strength and balance even more than before. The loss of muscle, bone and balance as we age can stop us from enjoying life and I’m sharing this because I hope to remind you to keep moving by strength training so that you can live your most powerful, joyful life.
