I spent the evening at the Walt Disney Concert Hall where I enjoyed my second symphony. The LA Philharmonic hosted Lang Lang and conductor extraordinaire Dudamel. The classical pianist Lang Lang was heralded as the “hottest artist on the classical music planet” by the New York Times and the “world’s ambassador of the keyboard” by the New Yorker. The music hall is an architectural work of art designed by architect Frank Gehry with a wavy stainless steel metal exterior and stunningly warm and beautiful wood interior. Sitting in the hall gave me the feeling that I was sitting in the hull of a ship. Lang Lang was incredible to watch with his lightning fast hands and his young, stylish and very charismatic approach to playing. It was a fantastic night and birthday, thank you to everyone for sending me so many wonderful birthday wishes! xo
