Went to see Unstoppable tonight and loved it. The cinematic style and feel of the movie combined with the fast pace and the acting made this a real thrill ride. Denzel Washington, Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson  were fantastic as was the rest of the acting. If you are looking for a fun thriller, this is it.

I took the evening off and curled up on the couch in panties and a t-shirt to watch a great foreign film called  ” I’ve loved you so long” . i really enjoyed the is film and realized that the subtitles forced me to focus on the movie otherwise I’d be sitting on the couch with my laptop on my lap trying to work while watching the movie. What’s wrong with this picture!? Take the rest of the weekend off and tell the boss I said it OK!

I went to see Scott Pilgrim vs The World last night and had a lot of fun watching this movie. I just loved some of the quirky characters with all of their bitchy, matter-of-fact attitudes, and I really enjoyed the music and the unorthodox shooting and editing style of this movie. I didn’t buy the love story, but I am always a fan of thinking out of box and I love it when directors take chances.  That’s my two cents 🙂  Happy Hump Day! Denise

I got back on track with my morning hike yesterday, but never made it into the gym for my workout because the office just wouldn’t wait any longer. I’m not happy about missing yesterdays workout, but that’s OK, because today is a new day. I guess I’ll just have to take on Tuesday with my Back workout and do a naked workout during my live cam show on Thursday of this week.  Can I get a spot? <wink/wink> Denise

I went to see “Dinner for Schmucks” tonight and if I could rename the movie I would call it “Movie for Schmucks”.  Don’t get me wrong, the movie had some great acting but in the end it was a bit of a snoozer.

“Ikiru” ( ” To Live ” )

Ikiru in English means To Live

A Japanese film that tells the story of a man who lived his life as the loyal servant of a bureaucratic system mired by red tape so thick that time practically stood still and almost nothing ever got done. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer he finds himself examining what he did with his life. This movie makes my all time favorite, TOP 5  List. It is a must see. The director Akira Kurosawa is a master story teller and the performances are extraordinary. These are the kind of film makers and human stories that inspire and make me so excited about the new Arnold Sports Film Festival that will be launching in 2011.  Watch this movie and “Ikiru” anew my friends.   xoxo Denise
