11 Days away from the Arnold Sports Festival where over 20,000 athletes come to Ohio to compete in 86 different events. The competitions are fantastic to watch and the expo is filled with great fans who are also participant athletes and people interested in fitness. It’s a great place to find all kinds of motivation and inspiration for your own sports and fitness goals. I have my booth at the expo again this year and I look forward to meeting new and old friends there. If you can make it please stop at our booth and say hello and if you can’t make it, no worries as I will try to bring the event to you with photos and video. Huge THANK YOU to Jay Aton for the incredible art work seen here.

Meet Ludovic Marchand the 2nd place finisher at this years first ever Arnold Classic Professional Wheelchair competition.
Ludovic stopped at my booth on Friday and I could tell by the look on his face that he was competing. A bodybuilder always knows when another bodybuilder is ready for the stage and I was excited to hear his story.
At the age of 19 Ludovic was in a car accident that took away the use of his legs. The accident left him in the hospital for over a year, in a deep depression and suicidal. And then he found the gym and started to rebuild himself as a bodybuilder. He told me he last competed when he was 29 years old and had always dreamed of competing at the Arnold Classic but didn’t think the day would ever come. And then it did. He saw the announcement that the Arnold Classic would hold its first Pro Bodybuilding Wheelchair competition and so he started to train for it.
At almost 52 years old (his birthday is on March 18th) and 22 years after his last competition he would compete again.
Ludovic said most of the people he knew told him he was crazy, and that he was too old to compete.  Ludovic laughed as he told me that he had no idea if what he was doing was crazy or not, but he didn’t care, he knew he had to try…And try he did.
He flew into Ohio from Thailand alone, competed at the first ever Arnold Pro wheelchair bodybuilding competition and came in 2nd place in a field of 9 professional athletes last weekend.

Going to the Arnold Sports Festival is always an inspirational journey for me and this year was no different. It’s always uplifting to be around great athletes and fans, but it’s the stories of the people I meet that really keep me coming back each year.

Ludovic told me “Bodybuilding saved my life” and I feel I know what he means because bodybuilding has changed my life for the better. Working out and bodybuilding does a mind and a body good, no matter what age or where you are in life and regardless of whether you want to compete or not. And if you wonder about whether or not you should give up on your dreams, just ask Ludovic!

Thank you Arnold Classic Team for another amazing show experience and Thank you Ludovic for sharing your journey with me. You can count me as one of your biggest fans and I will never forget your bravery. I look forward to inspiring as many people as I can by sharing your courage and your story.

I haven’t done a blog post in about 10 days — even though I have a tone of stuff to share with you. I really have to figure out how to update this blog with my phone. If anyone has any ideas about how I might is able to do that, please email me!

Anyway, I’ve been working overtime, getting ready for the 2015 Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio and I am very excited about meeting our fans at the Muscle Pinups Booth #1660 at this years expo. We have an incredible lineup of beautiful Muscle Pinups making appearances at the booth throughout the weekend and we would love to meet you there. If you decide to make your way to Columbus, you will get to meet Elisa Ann, Anne Marie Via, Megan Avalon, Lena Mischin, Lada Plihalova and yours truly. As you have probably heard me say before, this is the biggest and best fitness event in the world and my favorite place to be each March. And even though the weather promises to be a little on the chilly side, my real challenge will be getting to see all of the events I want to witness over the course of the weekend. Stay tuned for a full report on the weekends events and for anyone interested in attending, you can find all the details at their website at ArnoldSportsFestival.com

In these pictures from top to bottom: I am being lifted and almost carried off by Professional Strongman Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson from Iceland (his name is pronounced Haf Thor, but he looks like a whole Thor to me!)  at 6 feet 9 inches tall and weighing over 400 lbs, this 25 year old pro can lift whatever and whom ever he wants!
– At the booth with IFBB physique pro Tracy Weller, myself and Evie LaRosa (who happens to be 64 years young.
The next 3 pictures include Mr. Incredible Andy Haman and several of the “Muscle Pinups” including; “Elisa Costa“, “Amber Deluca“, “Anne Marie”, “Evie LaRosa” and yours truly “Denise Masino”
The last photo is a picture of me posing with Tish Shelton a beautiful new Physique Pro.
