Setting up my home gym

The Coronavirus (COVID 19) and public health reports recommending social distancing to help control possible exposure, coupled with possible gym closure inspired me to go into my garage and set up my home gym. I was scheduled to do my shoulder workout but instead I wanted to access my workout equipment and think about what kinds of exercises I could do at home. EVERYTHING needed to be cleaned and dusted off (smile). So it turns out that I have two benches, one is a flat bench and one is a bench I can use in a variety of positions for incline movements. I have 4 sets of dumbbells in various poundage’s and a small set of kettle bells. I also have an Olympic bar with weights for barbell work and I have a medicine ball, bands and some ankle weights to help meet most of my strength training needs. I’m happy that I have all of this equipment but if you don’t have all of this stuff you can still find great ways to strength train at home and that’s what I’m really starting to think about now and look forward to sharing with you. During this live broadcast it was fun to talk to you about training and to answer some of your questions related to food and things like protein powder and as promised I am including links to the protein power I am using along with the equipment I have at home. Thank you all for joining me on my live broadcasts. Please remember to subscribe to my channel and ring the bell for notifications so that you know when I go live. xo Denise

Wishing you good health.

The first time I competed at the Arnold Sports Festival’s Ms International women’s bodybuilding competition was in 1997 and the last time I competed was also at the Arnold Ms. International in 2007. I was a bodybuilder then and I am a bodybuilder now. And with the exception of this year’s 2020 cancellation of the expo, I have been going to the Arnold Sports Festival without miss each year and have had a booth at the expo since 1998. I love the city and the event for so many reasons, but most of all it’s the people that have brought me back year after year. This is a video filled with snapshots and prejudging video at the Arnold Expo hall and my last evening show performance during my time competing at the Ms. International in the women’s bodybuilding category. I loved competition and the Arnold Sports Festival experiences I’ve had and most of all I love the performing art that bodybuilding is. I hope you enjoy this video. Special thanks to Gregg Simpson for shooting and editing this footage and video for me. Super thanks to Robert Masino for his exceptional support and great photography. Super Duper Special thanks to all of the wonderful fans of our great sport who have supported and encouraged me for all these years. Lets #staypumped together. #ASF2020

Thank you for watching my You Tube channel and for sending me your suggestions on what to add to the channel. This is a video that came together because of some of the emails I received from you. Ever since I debuted this spikey mask on the Night of Champions stage around 2003, this has become a fan favorite. I’ve worn it for several guest posing appearances as well as in competition at the Ms Olympia in 2004 evening show. You can see it for yourself here in some never before seen footage from the vault. Some people think it looks like it belongs in Mad Max and I agree. Let me know what you think and thanks for sending me your comments and questions! xo Denise Masino a.k.a. Miss Fit
