Denise’s Coachella Tent  Coachella stage Mountin peaks and bamboo temples at Coachella Paul McCartney at Coachella Coachella’s Metal Art Coachella Music and Art Festival The Coachella experience included 4 nights of camping and 3 days of non-stop music and art in the California desert. Our tent home away from home included my weekend mascot so that our friends knew exactly how to find us J With temperatures soaring to 100 degrees during the day, I kept cool by hosing down a lot. Before the music festival began each day, we visited with many fellow campers. We painted with artists from LA and sat in the shade of bamboo tunnels built on site. The Festival included over 100 Musical acts over the course of three days on a polo field adjacent to the camp field. Two outdoor stages, three tents and at least two DJ domes acted as the key musical stage sets. In between acts we hung out at the beer gardens and played with the awe inspiring metal, flame throwing snake skeleton and enjoyed the three story high metal hand that lifted and dropped junk cars while we watched. And then there was the beautiful bamboo temple, laser light shows and did I mention the snowcapped mountains in the distance? In between all of that we had the pleasure of seeing and hearing Paul McCartney, The Black Keys, Alberta Cross, The Hold Steady, The Drive-by Truckers and so many more. It’s no wonder why the Coachella 09 Festival drew 166,000 people. I was happy to be one of them, enjoy the pic’s!
