My first power yoga class

I did my first Power Yoga Class yesterday and wow did I sweat my butt off! The class was 90 minutes long and the place was packed. Before we started the instructor shut all of the windows and the stretching and posing and breathing and melting began! It was a fantastic experience, with a good instructor, and I was happy that I could get into and hold most of the poses (standing on my head was not one of them). You loose so much water that you end up drenched and so rehydration is important. True to So Cal style the first restaurant we could find was a vegan restaurant where much of the menu had everything made from soy or tofu. Im not vegan but I went with it and thoroughly enjoyed a great meal and had fun trying a couple of the most popular juice drinks they make. Here I’m drinking a yummy Red drink made with Beet, Carrot, Celery & Apple Juice. The green drink wasn’t as tasty but was loaded with good for you ingredients such as Wheatgrass, Celery, Spinach and Ginger. If you are wondering, the answer is yes, I am a little sore today 🙂
