Today is a day of travel for me and even though its been a crazy day of  non-stop delays, I’m excited. Every time I travel I feel like I’m embarking on a new adventure filled with so many new possibilities that I can’t help but be excited.

Also, knowing that so many of my fellow female bodybuilders  competed today is also so exciting  and inspiring. I can’t wait to see the pictures of my friends. They should only know how incredibly inspiring each and everyone of them are. Dare I say it makes me think about getting on stage.  🙂

One of my favorite Florida muscle goddesses is competing for the first time this weekend at the Southern States. This is a post to Nuriye aka Naughty Nuriye,  and a heads up to all of the Muscle Elegance fans who know how awesome she is. Congratulations on your first show Nuriye! I know you will kick-ass because you also happen to be working with another awesome female bodybuilder and friend on your prep for this show. I’m crazy busy prepping for a business trip and my next photo and video shoot, and as always, my mind is sucking up everything I see and hear as the ideas for my next shoot percolate in my brain. One of my mental stops included a new trent called vajazzling. For those of you who haven’t heard about the vajazzled vajayjay, the trend involves Swarovski crystals  carefully and strategically placed on your lady parts, aka vagina adornment. Hmmm, I wonder how many crystals I’ll need.

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting the super talented erotic artist Michael Manning. As a fan of all things erotic and a lover of art, I was really excited about meeting Michael. I had the pleasure of working with his talented and lovely wife Lynn a couple of years ago. For those of you who don’t know Michael Manning s work, I am including a couple of his sample works. His art is fetishistic with Japanese influences and almost exclusively black-and-white. His work depicts taboo subjects and mythological beings such as centaurs and hermaphrodites with themes that meld ancient times with futuristic societies. His work feels like a mash up of beings and creatures from inner to outer space and in my estimation, it’s so good its out of this world. Happy 4th of July friends! Yesterday I went to a bad-ass Rockabilly festival called the Hootenanny. The headlining acts for the event where Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis with other Rock N Roll bands that included Shooter Jennings and Nick 13. Unfortunately, the Killer, Jerry Lee Lewis didn’t make the show (word was he got sick), feel better Jerry! We missed Jerry but, I did have a great time rocking to the amazing 83 year young Chuck Berry. I was in awe of how youthful Chuck looked and performed, and felt I was watching evidence of the idea that one sure way to stay young is to do what you love. The Hootenanny was full of people dressed in retro 40’s and 50’s clothing and for fun I decided that I would jump right in and show the world my version of a 50’s PinUp. During the event I got my hair done in a classic 50’s style, purchased a corset and posed with some hot dames on some souped up classic cars. Female bodybuilding changes the looked of the classic 50’s pinup model, Denise Masino, Rockabilly style, now that’s hot!  If you like this idea, wait until you see what I have in store for you….Enjoy these pics and stay tuned for more!   Cherry Kisses,  Denise

A Japanese film that tells the story of a man who lived his life as the loyal servant of a bureaucratic system mired by red tape so thick that time practically stood still and almost nothing ever got done. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer he finds himself examining what he did with his life. This movie makes my all time favorite, TOP 5  List. It is a must see. The director Akira Kurosawa is a master story teller and the performances are extraordinary. These are the kind of film makers and human stories that inspire and make me so excited about the new Arnold Sports Film Festival that will be launching in 2011.  Watch this movie and “Ikiru” anew my friends.   xoxo Denise
